What most women don't understand is that if you care about how you look, you won't try to "get
by" with your regular clothes as long as you can. You're not going to "wear your maternity clothes for
just a few months". You don't step right back into your regular clothes at the end of the 10 months and you
sure don't need to ruin your regular jeans trying to wear them unzipped. Do you have any idea what that does to your
zipper? So stop punishing yourself for being pregnant. Your husband doesn't want to look at the same outfit twice
a week and you don't either. Every season, you shop for new clothes. If style wasn't important
to us, we'd just wash and wear the same thing day after day. Face it, you shop because you want to look good and you
worry about fit because you don't want your husband to have visions of his great aunt when he looks at you.
At Haute Mama, the reason we carry the lines that we do is that they are stylish
and they fit YOUR body. You probably know by now that unfortunately it is possible to have one without the
other. Finding both is like finding the holy grail of fashion.
Take for instance, Olian Maternity. This line is huge. The reason it is huge is that the owner/designer
takes great care selecting the perfect fabric for each design, and also takes great care that each design is proportioned
to fit. She only uses sashes as an accessory, not as a rule. Her sashes are long and feminine and add to
the look of the dress or top they are attached to. If you don't like sashes, no worries, she has about 800 other
pieces without sashes from which to choose.
Cute
maternity clothes are hard to find. You would not believe the garbage that we, as shop owners, have
to sift through to get to the good stuff! That's why going to market takes a week.
You'll find that our pieces show off your slimmest
points, accent your belly so everybody knows your pregnant, not smuggling a keg, and last through through this pregnancy
and the next without falling apart at the seams like mall clothes.
Believe this: Motherhood doesn't have to be
frumpy. Enjoy yourself!
